You're supposed to be able to figure out the north side of a tree by finding the mossy side. I've tried that and ended up walking in circles. That doesn't work in England, because the moss grows all around it.

I mean, it grows everywhere! Even on the sidewalk, or the pavement like they call it here.

This stuff is slippery!
It grows on roofs....
Fence posts...
Stone walls.....
| That's flint! Hard to make fire if its wet... |

Gates.......

On the post box, the sign to the park, tombstones....

And then there is just moss. Stuff that just looks cool.

| This one kinda gets it all in - around the tree, on sign posts, the gate, fence..... |
This one just hit my fancy every time I walked by. How did those squiggles get there?
So no Kate but when Sylvain Z was on a stopover (not a layover as that has a whole other connotation in the UK) to Manchester, he spotted Michael Caine leaving Fortnum & Masons! I'm sure that if he sat still long enough, moss would grow on him too. I hope you enjoyed the moss.
Stay tuned for the Tuscany post. Sooo many pictures to go through.
