 Camping Glamping with Corry

Y'all gotta know the Annual Girls Camping trip has a rite of passage. Firstly, you have to be a girl.  Adrian gets special girl-designation for the weekend from Corry.  An exception. She can do that as his big sister. Secondly, you have to come with a big appetite.  Thirdly, you have to repeat with a big appetite.  The good thing is you can never really ruin an appetite because there is always another around the corner.

I think I brought everything...

Essentials were packed for my inaugural trip, including my plush geriatric thermorest and 2-person backpacking tent.  In anticipation of a wilderness weekend, I hadn't conceptualised Corry's Subaru packed to the rafters with the kitchen sink, 3 coolers, an 8 person tent with vestibule, queen sized air mattress, full set of sheets and duvet.  And they were worried I might find it uncomfortable "roughing it'.

I don't know where we'll set up
the living room and butler's pantry.

Camp was set up and getting good grub was first on the list.
Ok, maybe after we ate ice cream for lunch.
It does take time to build a fire...

There is a special dance
to get the fire started

And then there is the fire suppression system...
 once it really gets going

Cooking....tiramisu... really

Make more...
you know how much your mom eats

Can you get the crystal stemware
out of the car for me, please?

Jenna and E made lots!  And its delicious!

Italian Moka pot coffee won't do.
I want a flat white.

It will be ok Dad,  I'm sure Corry
can find the generator and the espresso machine
in her car

Thanks for saving my Dad with coffee

If you want to wear a canoe fashionably
in the wild,
you have to flip it....

Yeah, you got it Jenna.
Looking good, but maybe change
out the athleisure wear

Got any ghost stories?

Algonquin Provincial Park was established in 1893 and covers 7600 km2. The great Canadian outdoors is at our doorstep with hiking trails and vast wilderness.

Is that an eagle I spy
or am I in a Sears catalogue?

Don't let go,
we could topple over this cliff...

One more step to your left...

Let us rest...
or pose..

Gorgeous sky and vistas

A busy beaver...

Look at the dam I built!

That's a wrap for a great
Girls Camping weekend

  2. My type of camping. I’m glad you had a great camping trip. I’m personally too old for the wilderness without the commodities.😆
